How long will it take me to loose loose 40 pounds?

I weight about 145 pounds and I'm 5 ft 6.

If i eat 1000 calories and do cardio for about 60-90 minutes a day. how long will it take me to loose 40 pound?

  1. That is not healthy. You sound like you are on the verge of an eating disorder.


  2. The way that you are going it will only take around a 6 weeks. Its not healthy though.

    I really really recommend that you have 2 bananas and a green apple half an hour before your work out. The banana will also help with your blood pressure. After your work outs drink loads of water and also try to have some kind of nuts. Like cashews and pistachios. This will give you a lot of protein which you will need.

    Take in about 200 more calories a day to make your work out plan more healthy.

  3. Hard to say. Assuming you can lose (not "loose") 2lbs a week that would be 5 months. The problem is that your body will adjust to the cardio and the loses will decline over time. I would suggest 3 things:

    1. weightlifting (great for building lean muscle mass)

    2. intensive cardio (sprinting is much better than 90 minutes of cardio at the same pace)

    3. More calories. Make sure you are eating clean.

    Combining a tough workout routine with more clean calories is a much better way to look good.

  4. You should aim to lose around 2 pounds a week if you want it to stay off. So it will take around 5-6 months if you stick at it. I am in the same boat! Good luck.
