How long will it take me to travel from Rome to Genova by rail??

If anyone has any insight on this, it would be wildly appreciated!!!! I plan to backpack along the meditteranean this summer. Going ROme-> Genova -> Nice (Monaco, Cannes) -> Barcelona

  2. On direct Inter-City train from central station in rome (Roma Termini) to Genova between 5:02 and 5:26 hrs.

  3. You can check specific schedules and prices for trains here in Italy on the Italian train website. The English interface is here: http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/ferrovi... The fast, direct trains take 5 hr 11 min to 5 hr 33 min depending on the specific train. You could also go point to point on local trains and stop off in Cinque Terre, but it would take longer.
