holy grail, we may all pack up and go home. if we accept one fact SAF knows his stuff and was in the market for a striker why was there no bid for a MANCHESTER UNITED supporter ? secondly do liverpool need a tempremental, greedy striker when they already have an individual striker like torres, gerrard can only feed one of them and both are not exactly know for being hard workers of the ball, during the match one of your strikers will be unemployed. just watch the guy play the game he only passes the ball when he gets into trouble and then blames whoever he passed to for breaking down the move.

naturally these are only my opinions and feel free to quote me on them if he turns out to be anything but a flop.

  1. Edit:

I'm sorry Mr.Giggs, clearly I should tolerate your posts.

My answer: Keane will partner Fernando Torres in the strike-partnership that will score 45+ Premiership goals, giving the most successful ever British club their 19th top division title.

  2. First of all, Keane was never on the market.

Second, he made it clear that Liverpool was the only club that he would leave Spurs for so there would  have been no point in SAF waving his fat chequebook about.

Third, temperamental? greedy? doesn't sound like Keane to me - or have you changed the subject to Ronaldo?

I liked Crouch but he couldn't play with Torres. I think Keane and Torres will dovetail perfectly. I am not expecting us to win the Premier League but I am confident that we will still be in the hunt by Easter and that we will narrow the 12 point gap between our teams.

  3. i must agree with you in principal.i don't think he will be the success we all hope he will be but i don't agree with your analysis of both Torres and Keane!they are both,in their own rights, very good players and can bring many different things to a game.however, like every other player in the league, and indeed around the globe, they have they shortcomings too.i just hope that he doesn't turn out to be big a flop for us and manages to get more goals than i think he will manage over the course of the coming season

  4. I think he is a player that is good enough for teams like Blackburn, villa and everton but not teams like Liverpool who want to challenge for the title. They can't seriously think that they will win things apart from the Carling cup with him, he isn't exactly world class. They already have Kuyt and Babel that are much better players than him. I would of been very surprised if arsenal or man u or Chelsea would of bought him for £19million let alone £10million. I cannot see them challenging for The title with him, maybe they will be able to confirm there 4th place but no further.

  5. I heard he is the second coming of The Messiah.

All what is needed now is for miracles to be performed.

  6. well said problem and this dozy giggs feller thinks hes writing a effing novel

  7. funny

"just watch the guy play the game he only passes the ball when he gets into trouble and then blames whoever he passed to for breaking down the move"

that line is actually what C.Ronaldo does sometimes HAHA thought it was funny.

  8. may your words come back to bite you on the ***.......of course we're not stupid enough to think this one player is the answer to everything......I'm still living in hope that there may be a 'big' signing still to come..

Edit - don't you just hate it when they astrisk a word when you think you've toned it down to something acceptable..

  9. SAY WAT U WANT BOUT KEANE HE WILL GET US AT LEAST 15 GOALS AND ASSISSTS IN HE'Z 1ST SEASON.HE'S VERY CLEVER A POACHER HARDWORKWER AND DAT FING BOUT HIM BLAMIN PPL WEN HE HAS A POOR TOUCH AND BREAKS DWN A MVE EVRY1 DOES IT EG WEEKLY RONALDO DA ONLY FING BOUT HIM IZ HE'Z AGE BUT WE CUD GET DA BEST OUT OV HIM TILL HE'Z 33'34 5 OR 6 YRZ

  10. Keane was a great striker we are gonna miss him our loss is Liverpool's gain

  11. I think that most Liverpool fans are missing the point!

I think we would all agree that Robbie Keane is a good player, but he is NOT a great player.

The are 2 simple facts, No 1 that he will not make the difference between last years 4th place and winning the league and  No 2 he has cost the scoucers £ 9m more than he is worth when there are better strikers they could have purchased for the same money.

  12. ...i for one, do not depend on keane , to being the one who will do everything for my team..

but i do believe he can contribute a lot to the team...

All im saying is : just watch and see..

and see how this season develops....

eh.. im not even gonna get deep into the topic anyways...

  13. Giggs mate i seem to remember you saying torres would be a flop . I think keane is a quality player he has scored 15 premiership goals consistantly for a long time now. Plenty of players move abroad and don t do well it was six months at inter not 2. I have watched alot of keane he is a decent player. I honestly think who ever liverpool signed you would have something to say about them.

  14. Yes i agree, only time will tell whether Keane will be a success at Liverpool, but one thing is for sure, if they think the signing of Robbie Keane will win them the league, they are seriously mistaken, Liverpool would be better spending money on their midfield especially wingers, that's where they were lacking last season, but hey who are we to argue.

  15. To be honest, I think he is going to be a £19 million bench warmer.

He is going to be the new Crouch.
