I was kicked out of the navy 7 years ago with an RE-4 code on my dd 214. I was in the navy for 8 days then it took 2 weeks for seperations. I was wondering if I can join the navy or any other branches.

  1.   Try the army or the guard, your navy career is history !

  2. You'd have to get with the VA to get your re enlistment code changed.

  3. The Army is pretty desperate for recruits, but if they did give you a waiver and accept you, you'd get a less than desirable job. The RE-4 will NEVER go away, sorry!

  4. An RE-4 code pretty much DQ's you from joining any branch at any time.  Your military record doesn't clear.  Sorry guy, you're miltary career is over.

  5. I wouldn't hire you for lack of commitment and I doubt if any branch of the military would ever take you seriously again and for good reason. Whose to say that you won't bail when the going gets tough- its' all about character.

  6. The Navy won't take you if you were the last person left on Earth.  Only the Army and Army National Guard will CONSIDER you.

  7. Not sure what you mean by "clear my record."  Those records will not be destroyed.  Ever.  If you try to join another service they will see those records.  If they have sufficient need of cannon fodder they might take you after all the sick, lame and lazy, but I doubt it.
