Its roughly 2 - 2 1/2 hrs - depending exactly where you are travlling from / to etc.

At the newcastle end watch out for the A1 cos it can be really bad traffic especially near gateshead metrocentre.  Peak times are obviously worse but peak times can be from 3 - 6 !
