Question:

How long will it take to lose 15 pounds?

This is my workout schedule:

Push ups everyday (as many as I can do throughout the day)

Sit ups every other day (as many as I can do throughout the day)

A little over a 1 mile Run every other day at night

About 1800 Calories a day

Protein shake 4 days a week (about 48 grams of whey isolates)

Ive already went from 258 lbs back in May to 237 lbs today.

Any suggestion that work? I am going into the Air Force and I have to get down to 220.

  1. Just keep it up. At a good pace you'll lose 15 pounds in about 2 months or less.

    Sounds like a good plan but I would up that protein shake, you should drink 5 of those shakes a day and you'll get 240 grams per day.  You need 1 gram of protein per every pound of body weight daily if you want to build muscle, you'll be happy for that muscle when you get to basic training.  Also go here and calculate your specific caloric intake needed:

    Try to put in another mile on that run and you'll see the fat leave your body replaced with strong, lean muscle.  Good Luck!
