Question:

How long will it take to lose 20lbs on the 2468 diet if I only eat fruits and veggies?

And jump rope 10 - 20 minutes daily.

You eat 200 calories one day, 400 the next, 600 the next, 800 the next then repeat.

I would only eat fruits and vegetables though.

I dont wanna know how unhealthy it is, I wanna know how long it'll take.

  1. Unfortunatley I have no info on this particular diet, sorry. I do know when you eat under 1000 calories your body actually holds weight. You may be able to trick your body into not realizing how little of calories your eating if you still eat 6 small meals a day consisting of very low cal vegetables and soup. Progresso makes a weight watchers soup that is only 60cal a serving and really yummy.

    Anyways this is how you can lose 20lbs in a month if you are interested....

    I do the 'Fat Smash' diet which is a book from The 'Celebrity Fit Club', off of t.v.

    I picked the book up at my local library, I love that it is very simple and basically has healthy eating guidelines and exercise. Personally I love it and the first "Phase" is only 9 days... so if you would like to try it at least give Phase1 a chance!

    PHASE 1:

    PER DAY YOU CAN HAVE:

    2cups brown rice

    Yogurt (2 -6 oz)

    1 cup Oats

    Fruit

    Vegetables except avocado and only 2 pickles per day

    No potatoes except sweet potatoes

    3 egg whites and 1 whole egg

    also you can have 3 cups air popped popcorn no butter

    Basically you can eat all the veggies and fruit you want, this is for the first 9 days... I lost 10lbs in 9 days! Seriously I've tried a lot of diets, it's great! You can't look at the scale until day 9, very important. In the first month I lost 21 lbs of doing the Fat Smash diet and wasn't even starving at all! Plus make sure you get lots of water. It made me feel GREAT and I did see a difference. So like I was saying you can eat all you want of the "allowed" items but he does say don't over eat. When you feel full quit eating.

    Here was my first 4 day menu on Phase 1 =)

    Day1:

    BF:Oatmeal (I did use instant w/water added)

    S:2 Tangerines & 1 Pickle

    L:Split Pea Soup

    D:Boca Burger w/ketchup & mustard (no bread)

    Broccolli w/lemon pepper (steamed)

    Day 2:

    BF: Oatmeal w/blueberries

    S: 2 Tangerines & Banana

    L: Sweet Potato Fries (cut fry style and baked)

    D: Can of Corn & carrots

    S: Grapes

    Day 3:

    BF: 4 Egg Whites w/salsa, bell pepper & onion (omelet)

    S: Frozen Grapes

    L: 1/2 can Split Pea Soup, 1 Apple

    S: Apple

    D: other 1/2 can Split Pea Soup & Carrots

    S: Banana

    Day 4:

    BF: Apple Bake (sliced apple, splenda, cinnamon, 0cal butter spray & oats on top-- baked)

    S: Grapes

    L: Boca Burger Patti & Sweet Potato Fries (1/2 sweet potato)

    S: Carrots & 1 Tangerine

    D: BOca Burger Patti, grilled Onions & Tbsp Steak sauce


  2. Don't bother, you're going to gain it all back really quickly the moment you eat a regular meal.

    Eat at least 1,200 calories, and that's the bare minimum. Since you're eating so little, your body goes into starvation mode and starts storing food because it thinks there's no more around. Eating 1,200 - 1,600 will raise and regulate your metabolism, and you'll lose weight too.

    This is what I did to lose 100 lbs.

    I recommend it for everyone.

    Make sure you have at least 1,200 calories a day. Break it up into 6 small meals of 200-300 calories each. Space the meals 3-4 hours apart.

    Cadio exercise 5 days a week at least in 30 min. - 60 min. sessions. If you skip one, don't freak out about it. Stay motivated.

    Weightlifting every other day! Eat lots of protein, drink only water and Crystal Light Energy, and get enough fiber/calcium.

    You may want to consider taking a multi-vitamin and calcium+vitamind d supplement.

  4. The bigger more important question is how long it will take you to gain it all back.  My guess is about a week or 2...
