How long will it take to recieve a car we ordered?

heres the story... i wanted a certain car that the dealership by my house didnt have the color i wanted... so they are going to order it from another dealership about an hour away.... how long do you think it will take to get it if we orderd it today?

Ask the dealer, how would anyone here know how long your dealer is going to take to get the car in stock?

Anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on when the dealer has people to do it. It takes two people, two cars, and three trips to pick up a car, and two trips both ways if it's a swap deal. Sometimes dealers don't have spare people standing around and can't do it quickly.

I recently had a similar situation where my dealer found the car at another dealer, but the other dealer didn't want to give it up.

That's what happened with my last car.  The one I wanted was on a truck somewhere in Texas and I was in Illinios.  It took less than 48 hours to have it on the lot, prepped, and ready to drive away.

Your case depends if the color you want is truly on the lot or not.  I'd go to the other dealer and see it just in case they are lying to keep you from going someplace else.
