How long will it take to travel by air from alaska to newzealand- 1) going east 2) going west?

It depends, of course, on where in Alaska and where in NZ and on what you are optimizing for (quickest trip, adequate connection time, price, your choice of airline, whatever) but looking at Anchorage to Auckland I see connections taking about 23 to 30 hours total en route. East vs. west isn't really an issue. You gotta go south!

one site has it as 31 hours, but that includes a 11 hour layover.
