How long will it take to travel by train from rome to milan?and to venice?will it take a day?

im staying in a hotel in rome but need to catch a flight in milan to amsterdam.

From Rome to Milan circa 500Km (i think 5/6 hours travelling- but you can take Pendolino train and you arrive in milan in only 3 hours), From Rome to Venice 650 km ( 7 hours travelling) Anyway you can go to www.trenitalia.it to have the right informations

by train to venice 4.5 h...50/70€

to milan  3.5h... 50/60€

from milan to venice 2.5 h....30/40€

The ride Rome / Milan takes some 5 hours & Milan / Venice takes abt 3 hours. You can't do all in a day.
