  1. Only about an hour, depending on when the sun sets until about nine.

    (:

  2. If you are referring to the E-mail story about Mars appearing unusually close and large this August, that is false. It did so in 2003, but will not this year. The E-mail greatly exaggerates the closeness and size too.

  3. If this is about mars being the size of the moon. It is a hoax and it has been a hoax for the past few years. mars will never look that big from here.

  4. Not long. It will set less than one hour after the Sun and will be difficult to see in the twilight. It will appear to be about 1/500th the diameter of the Moon.

Read all about the Mars - Moon e-mail hoax here: http://www.hoax-slayer.com/hsblog/2007/0...

  5. Have you been fooled by the hoax that has now appeared for the 5th year running?

If you really thought about it, you would know that Mars could never look as big as the moon.

The only reason this hoax survives is because people are so ignorant about space - and this is the space age.
