How long will my braces hurt??

Question

i just got my braces on yesterday and im going in today to get 3 brackets fixed that didnt bond as well as my ortho wanted them to. will it hurt rlly bad today when he is fixing them since my teeth are sore today??

and another thing... i didnt feel any pain yesterday since i just got them on but today they are pretty sore, a couple of teeth in particular are the worst. the pain is managable and I dont want to take any motrin or anything unless i really need to, but i was wondering how long my mouth will hurt?? cuz im on summer vacation and i dont want 2 b stuck at home with a sore mouth!!

It probably will be uncomfortable... a lot of people don&#039;t feel pain from braces the first day.. I always felt pain like 3 hours after getting them tightened as well.... you get used to it, but i would eat as soon as possible because a few hours later it may hurt so bad you won&#039;t wanna eat... yes take motrin/tylenol/advil!!! It never helped me but it might help you :)

Well, they may hurt for a bit,  but that means it&#039;s working :)

If it gets real sore take some advil or something. But it should go in a couple of days, maybe 2 or 3 max.

It should not hurt more than a week.  Take some Advil.  Got my braces in late June.

It will hurt for roughly about a week and it will hurt like this everytime they get tightend. To reduce the pain take some paracetamol.
