  1. what is it?  what trans does it have?  who had it before you?  how was it driven?  how many mods does it have?  how was the maintenance done before you?

all of these things will affect the time it will last.  you could see anything from a catastrophic failure next week to one in 10 years at 350K

  2. well that doesnt say much. I have a 94 honda accord with 250,000 miles on it and its still running like new. My uncle has or should I say had a '01 pontiac grand am and it crapped out at 98,000 miles. it wasnt even worth getting fixed.

  3. As long as the car is regularly serviced & looked after with all the fluid levels topped up & oil changes on time it could last for another 148000 miles or more. Or it could simply give up the ghost in the next mile, it depends on many factors such as how you drive & maintain it. I've seen taxi's round my area with more than 200000miles on the clock & I've driven a ford focus diesel past the 300000 mile mark. I've also driven a Rover that expired at less than 100000miles. In short I don't believe that anybody could answer that question with any degree of certainty!

  4. In addition to the first responder's questions about the details, there's another major question, particularly if you live in Europe: what sort of engine does it have, petrol (gasoline) or diesel?

If a diesel engine gets regular routine maintenance, they're really only just thoroughly broken-in at the 100,000 mile point. ;-)
