How long will my cheeks swell and my gums be sore after having my wisdom teeth pulled out?

  1. when i had mine done my cheeks were really swolen it took 2 days for them to go back to normal depending on how swolen they are and your body it could only take one day or maybe 3


  2. That depends on your body's healing response & how well you treat yourself after the extraction.  Follow the after care instructions given by your dentist.  A cold pack on cheek swelling will ease that.  Pain pills should take care of the tenderness of the gums.    

  3. Hoping you are on meds..at least 2 weeks or less........depends on YOUR body.... hopefully less......

  4. Your cheeks will be start swelling and should reach the climax the day after the surgery. By the 2nd day you should notice the swelling to start to subside.

    My gums are still a little sore 2 weeks after they were removed. But, this could all vary from person to person.
