How long will the 2008 ninja 250R be on sale for?

i live in california. and i've been hearing around that kawasaki will only make so much of 2008 ninja 250R and will probably stop making them due to high demand. i was wondering since i wanna buy one in about december will they still be making them? would they still be for sale at the dealerships? if so, will there still be a waiting list?

There're a lot of people on the waiting list at my local dealership, but as soon as they're done manufacturing the '08s, they'll retool the factories for new colors and start cranking out the '09s.  If you want one, put your name on the list, they'll probably have a max waiting time of a month or two from the date you put your name on the list.

They're Kawasaki's best selling model in the United States, so why would they stop making them due to high demand?  That makes no sense.
