How long will the earth be around?

I just wonder will the earth be around for ever.

Earth is currently about 4.5 billion years old. (i think)

It could last about another 5 billion years untill

the sun expands into a red giant which will fry the

earths atmosphere.

But who knows, maybe something will happen along the way. Like a pandemic or we could continue to damage/pollute etc earth.

I believe that it will always be "A round".

in about 4 billion years time, the Sun will turn into a red giant and expand to swallow the earth.

All the more reason to enjoy it while we can.

Long after humans are gone.

Actually, the earth will probably cease to exist when the sun progresses to become a Red Giant and engulfs the earth.
