  1. For how long it takes to either prove you are, or are not, carrying out these illegal activities.

  2. Depends.  If you're a member of their party, they might hire you for a job!

  3. Depends... what did you do?

    lol

Well if your talking about state government, they probably won't shadow you, however, if you have the cops called on you they can look up your record and probably won't be very nice, they'll be more willing to take you in.

The feds however, they can do what ever they want to you until something is done about the Patriot Act. They can wire-tap your phones, hijack your PC via the internet, do what ever they have to do to find out if you are a threat or not. If I were in any situation such as the hypothetical you are speaking of, I would lay low for at least five years or so. Though until you are dead, your name will be on the black list. If your name comes up anywhere such as protests, criminal records, or any of the like, they start watching more closely.

If I were in real bad sh*t, I would burn my computer (the whole thing, its not all in the HD) and not even step on a crack for the rest of my time on this earth.

Pictures aren't on the side of milk cartons for nothing.

  4. As long as you remain on their list......usually for life.

  5. The government is slow to act and slow to let go.  Just ask ther thousands of innocents on the no fly list.

  6. They're shadowing you, anyway!  It's optimistic to think they only shadow you when you may or may not have done something illegal!
