  1. until some new uniform company convinces them that their uniform is better.  


  2. I would have to say 20 years or so.

  3. They'll be in service indefinitely until it is decided to switch to a better uniform. We can tell the VERY least will be 3 years because the Army has already set their phase-in plan to end in 2011. However, it is MUCH more likely for them to stick around for about 20 years, give or take about 5 years.  

  4. If you go by the average time the Army usually switches uniforms then it will probably be 20 years.  But it depends on the Chief of Staff of the Army who is the approving authority of all changes to the AR 670-1.

  5. A while.  BDUs were fielded in the early 80s.

    In my opinion, Class As should never change, but they don't care about my opinion.  I do like blues far better than the pickle suit, though.
