The universe consists of the atoms that make up stars, planets, human beings and every other visible object in the Universe. According to contemporary astronomers, the universe will continue to last for an extremely long time. It is also known that the universe is expanding and current signs indicate that not only is expansion occuring , but it is happening at an accelerating rate.
