  1. THe first answer he's right in a lot of way but also there's a lot of people out there that clam there remodeller's but haven't really know how to do the job very well. Make sure to find some one that really knows what there doing not just say they do.

  2. All builders have steps they go through but your builder and the loop you fit into with all the homes they are building in the neighborhood will determine how quickly you home is done.  Most new home builds will take from 4 to 6 months to complete.  The framing and outside of a home goes up pretty quickly.  The insides take longer.  Plumbing, wiring, walls, fixtures, all the details take longer.  But once they break ground, they have pretty much determined they have the people released from other home builds to begin yours in the stages that their people are needed to get it done.  We have built 4 homes in 14 yrs. It has actually taken longer from the time we signed the contract to the actual start build than it took to build our homes.  So they have a plan and it's a practiced plan.  Watch every step inside while they are building.  Don't assume anything.  Visit everyday if possible.  You will be better off checking every detail.  I am really good at this by now and we are probably building again in the future and each time we have had to stay on top of the build.  A first time builder has no idea how quickly things can go weird even with a track builder.

  3.      There is a most deff step (s) that a builder goes thru.. Some trades can and have to work together and some not to be able to get their job done correctly.Talk w/ your builder to find out the stages the he/ she goes thru.. There ll be times when you see things go like h%*( ,and the next thing it seems like its slow..All builders need to get things done at certain time in order to get their draws and pay subs.. It s diff w/ all builders but basicaly the same.. Don t rush the trades it makes for sloppy work   Can t tell you how long it ll take from here on in you don t say if mechanical are done or is it to drywall stage?  Best guess  and only a guess is 2/3 months  GL
