Brittany, Mapquest has nothing to do with how long a journey will take by train.

The trains will take about 2 hours 50 minutes, give or take a couple of minutes, either on the direct train via Leeds / Bradford / Halifax / Burnley / Blackburn / Preston, or on the express route via Leeds / Huddersfield / Manchester Piccadilly (change train) then switch to the Manchester - Blackpool local service via Salford / Bolton / Horwich / Leyland / Preston. Usually 1 train per hour on both routings.
