How long would a 13watt solar panel take to charge a 12 volt car battery?

amps x volts = watts.

amps = 13w/12v= about 1 amp

A typical trickle charger is about .5 to 1.5 amp and will charge a dead battery in about 24 hours.

U must have enough cells to equal 13.4 V or it will not charge anything. 13 watts at 13.4 V would never charge the battery. That would be about 1 amp. It is the Watts = volts times the current. In the charging process U can loose about 40%.

They only 'trickle charge', thats just topping up overnight,

they will not start from flat. If they did it would take days...
