  3. A year probably... because you're so young.

    I took Korean for 2 semesters at university and I think it is really not easy. It's too hard for me that I gave up.

    But the main reason I quit learning Korean is because I think there is no point of mastering it. Korean is only used in South and North Korea, and they use characters that are not used in any other languages. The language has a complex grammar (well not as complicated as European languages though) and very hard pronunciation. And I really don't like their writing system (their characters). Korean used to have Kanji in the past just like Japanese and Chinese, but they changed it to their original characters called Hanggul (those characters with circles and squares) so it would be easier to read. Just my opinion, but I think it's a really bad idea to change Kanji to Hanggul. It's like Japanese with only Hiragana. It's so inefficient. They even use Hanggul for numbers. Oh, they also 2 different sets of numbers.

    I don't know about you, but for me, it's really not worth mastering.
