I sent out a check this morning in the mail, and it's not important what it was for, but I need it to get there ASAP. I'm in NY and I sent it to Florida. How long would you think it would take?

  1. Usually 3 to 7 business day within 50 states.

  2. Honey, it depends on 100 different things...

I'm in Chicago, which has THE WORST postal service EVER...

My Lawyer paid $20.00 to over-night me a package and guess what? IT NEVER EVEN GOT HERE...

    He did it again...

THAT ONE NEVER GOT TO ME EITHER...

We only recieve half our bills each month and if it were not for Internet Bill Pay through our bank, none of our bills would EVER get paid...

When I mailed out a stack of about 20 letters from the MAIN POST OFFICE down town... The one on Canal Street that is just outside of the sorting and dispatch building... ONLY HALF OF MY LETTERS MADE IT TO THEIR DESTINATIONS...

MOST of the time the letters will take at LEAST 2 weeks to get to their destinations... And that is when I mail letters to OTHER CHICAGO ADDRESSES...

You letter could either arrive there so fast it was like it was teleported... Or it could never even reach it's destination...

For IMPORTANT payments, you can ONLY rely on your BANK and their Online Bill Pay.

Register your checking account at your bank's website and have them print the check and mail it out because then you get a confirmation number so if the check never arrives, you have PROOF that you at least TRIED...

Either that or Credit/Debit card over the phone... That is the ONLY way that I can actually confirm that ANY of my bills get paid.

  3. I think 3 or 4 days...so maybe Sat. or Mon. it will get there.

  4. mail can usually take 3 - 5 days.

  5. They'll have it on Monday.  It will be in the Florida area on Saturday and in their mailbox on the next delivery day (Monday).  I know this because I'm always sending stuff back and forth down there and I'm from CT. :)
