How long would it take for someone with very light skin get a dark tan?

I like to be really tan 24-7, and I don't like waiting for things so I was wondering how long I would have to sit in the sun to get a fairly dark tan. It's almost time for school to start again and i want to be very tan when i go back. Any tips? =]

That's impossible.

You're more likely to get burned than get any  darker.

Use one of those tanning products.  It's the only way you'll get dark.
