  1. i ran 20 miles no practice was just really bored, just remember drink lots of electrolytes on the way, i had to stop because i didnt plan on running that far and became quite low in electrolytes and had to stop cuz it was like the worst stinking hangover you ever had. i even had a few cigs before i started, if its a one off anyone can do it. oh yeah, take some good tunes with you so you dont get bored too. its not speed its endurance. also vary your speed so you dont get bored.

  2. between 6 weeks and 8 months (depending on how fit you are already)

  3. 6 weeks minimum.

  4. Six months training and you'll do it easy.

  5. Most coaches would tell you to train for a year and have a base to where you can comfortably run a 10K before you begin training. At that point you should follow a 3 to 4 month training plan. Here is a basic training plan once you are ready to start.

  6. To be really prepared and run it under 4 hours I would recommend 5-6 months
