How long would it take the red cross to contact someone after blood donation if they found something wrong?

i did not give blood to be tested for anything, i am just curious, because i gave blood a little over a week ago and i have not received anything, i guess i am a little paranoid over tattoo i received years ago. how long do you think it would take them to contact me if something was wrong? what i know by now?

  1. They won't contact you.  


  2. It can take a while.  Some of the tests they run can take sometime to complete.  Esp. if they send out the samples to be done.

    You say that your tattoo is years old.  Our local blood donation site won't take people if they have had tattoos within the last 12 months.  Older than that should be ok.  


  3. they won't contact you, even if something is wrong with your blood they will not call you. If you are worried about it call your doctor to get a blood test just to ease your mind
