I'm in middle school, and i've always wanted to become a anesthesiologist. How long would it take

    im just starting college in september and i also want to become an anesthesiologist....

    well you have to finish high school with good grades in order to get accepted to the college of your choice :-)

    then finish college-DO YOUR PRE MEDICAL SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS but you can major in anything but get extremely good grades bcz medical school is extremely competitive, and then you go to medical school and after that you go to your anesthesia reswidency....

    college 4 years

    med school 4 years

    residency 4 years

    so youd be around 30 years old when youre a doctor

  2. i'm 16 and i want to do the same thing. i looked it up and it takes like 12 yrs including ur basic 4 yrs. but it pays very well

    four years in college to earn an undergraduate degree, four years of medical school to earn an Doctor of Medicine degree, four years of training in an accredited Anesthesia Residency Program, another one or two years in a subspecialty of anesthesia such as Obstetrical Anesthesia, Cardiac Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, or Pain Management.
