I know this is totally random, but it's important. So try to give the most accurate answer you can.

How long do you think it would take to bike 13.85 miles?

  1. For me (age 55) on a mountain bike, less than an hour without breaking a sweat.

  2. 49.8865 minutes exactly.

    Just a random answer.

  3. About 45min-1 hour. Maybe more, maybe less. Is it uphill or downhill?  open roads or city traffic with lots of stoplights/intersections? Your fitness level and cycling ability are also major factors.

  4. That was the distance that I used to cycle to my work there and back before I retired.  I allowed about 1Hr 10 Min for the commute,to change and have a shower, but it took me on average about 50 Min. actual cycling time on my computer.  It will depend on the terrain, weather, traffic and most of all your fitness.  Hope that helps.

  5. You are right totally random. How fast will you go? but being you left out key info you'll get a random answer.

At 13.85mph average speed, 1 hour.

If your average speed is slower it will take more time.

If your average speed is faster it will take less time.

  6. well on average going 10mph then about 1hour 25mins but it depends on what you and your body can average for example i average 22mph all the time 13.85miles would take me about 40mins

  7. I would suspect you will average between 10 to 12 mph at first.  But if you keep riding, your fitness level will increase and your speed will increase, thus shortening your commute.  You will not regret riding your bicycle for transportation.  I lost about 21 pounds many years ago during one riding season to and from work. Wish I could commute to my current job.  Alas, roads and city are just too dangerous for this bicyclist.
