  1. Calais to Nice at night in a ford Ka .800 miles in 9hrs 15mins.

I may have occasionaly exceeded the speed limit officer....ooops!!!

Cost £50 in tolls, about £60 in petrol, a bad back, a couple of arguments with the Mrs and a nights sleep. It was worth it though cos we had a great holiday. Going again in 2 weeks in a 130bhp Skoda Superb with a huge diesel tank so i'l only have to stop once for fuel. I'm out to beat my record by at least 40 mins.

  2. You have that nifty site which calculates everything for you

    http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/f...

For exemple from Dunkerque to Marseille :

    Time : 09h31  (09h16 on motorways)

    Distance : 1081km  (1070km on motorways)

    Motorway toll : 69.70 EUR

    Petrol : 96.49 EUR

  3. Depends from departure point Calais, Le Harve, Cherborg and to where you want to go.

Drove from Calais to Monaco took 10 Hours  2 x  1/2 hour stops.

    Approx £65 tolls £70 petrol.

You can drive anywhere in france within a day providing you dont mind driving

  4. from lille to marseilles or from strasbourg to brest it is almost the same distance, around 1000 km or around 620miles.

It depends if you use the toll highways or the non toll freeways and highways, but it takes more or less 12 hours to get to these points, without stoping except for gas and eating.

It would help if you'd mention your starting and arrival points.

  5. Why would you want to.

  6. When you say "across" do u mean .... from north france across to south .....or from the west across to the west ?
