How long would it take to drive from Maryland to Baffin Island (Canada)

It's a WHOLE lot longer than 12 1/2 hours.  That's about 12 1/2 hours to Quebec City, but Baffin Island is nowhere near there.

I see nothing about any boat from Quebec.  Most of Quebec is sparsely populated, or even uninhabited.  You just can't drive up there.  Even getting to James Bay, that body of water that cuts south of Hudson Bay, is accessed by an extremely remote road (http://jamesbayroad.com/ ).  Past that, there just aren't any roads; and James Bay is a LONG way south of Baffin Island.  You can't drive to a point from which you can take a boat to Baffin Island.

It seems as if your most likely options are to drive to Montreal, Quebec City, or Edmonton, and fly up from there:

EDIT: Yes, I understand that there's water between Quebec and Baffin Island, but the thing is, in order for there to be a boat between the two, you'd have to actually be able to GET to that boat.  There's no way to do that by driving.

This is a part of Canada in which there simply are NO roads; they just don't exist.  Even with the very few roads that do reach far into Quebec, most are not open to the public.  You have to realize just what kind of remote territory we're talking about here.  It's not like driving to Alaska, where there are a few roads to take up there.  This is a place where there is just nothing; and I truly mean NOTHING.

Once again, you'd have to drive somewhere from which you can fly to Baffin Island.  Montreal, Quebec City, and Edmonton seem to be the main options.  However, if you have heard anything about a boat in any of your research, please pass it along to me, because I'd like to know about it.  As far as I know, that doesn't exist.

I can only find the time on the trip between Maryland and Quebec-12 1/2 hours driving time.  I have no idea how you will calculate the boat ride.  Best of luck!
