How long would it take to get a capital one credit card?

I need to get a card by at least august 10th.

upon application, it will take 24 to 48 hours for the Credits department to verify your status with the Credit Bureaus, add another 24 to 48 hours for other stuff to be processed... so in a week's time you should have your card already. please dont forget to call the Customer service hotline to activate your card. and keep your card number or acct. number ready as it will be asked upon reaching the IVR of CapOne... You won't get it.

First you have to apply, that is quick and easy.  They make a decision based on your credit and such, it is a computer, it is fast.

But then they send your information on its merry way to get an account and a card created.  The card can take 7 to 10 business days.  You might not get the card in time.  

But, you could try calling them up and asking them.  Or read the fine print on the application.

You should have planned better.  

You are most likely a week or so too late.

No guarantees, but you might get your card on time if you're approved online.

I recently applied for a Washington Mutual credit card online.  I applied on June 19th and was approved.  I actually received my card on June 27th.   In my case, it only took 8 days.

If Capital One follows a similar timeline as Washington Mutual, you very well may have your card on time.  After you're approved online you might also want to call to see if there's any way to ensure expedited shipping.

Upon approval it usually takes about 7 to 10 days.  Sometimes you can call them after approval on line and get the number to use until you get the card in the mail.

Assuming you applied today and were approved, it

usually takes up to 2 weeks. I have seem them offer

"expedited processing" in the past, which should get the

card in your hand in 3-5 days. Perhaps you should call

them to ask if they can expedite an application.

This is a very difficult question to answer.  You haven't said if you have any existing credit or why you need the card.  If you gave more details, you would get better answers.

It just depends on how you apply. If you fill out a paper application it will be 3-4 weeks. If you do it on line you'll cut it in half for sure. You can be approved by the 10th of Aug but you may not get the phyical card in time.
