I'm interested in traveling to Australia to work very soon, and I'm curious about the process of obtaining an overseas work visa. I am a US citizen.

How long does it take to require one?

depends what your skills are as to if you can get a visa

are you wanting a short term visa or do you intend to live in australia permanently?

also if your between the ages if 18-30 you can apply for a 12 month working holiday visa,this visa is processed quickly but the others take a long time
