How long would it take to get from Petersfield to Southampton by train?

take Portsmouth train, change at Fratton for Southampton .Should take about an hour.

Currently there are two trains per hour on weekdays and Saturdays leaving Petersfield at 1 minute and 11 minutes past the hour. You change at Havant and the journey time is just over one hour. On Sundays, there is a train at 38 minutes past the hour. Again, you change at Havant and the journey time is 1 hour 15 minutes. A new timetable comes into force in December, so check again, but it's probable that the times will remain unchanged.
