  1. In the days of the £10 poms. People emigrating to Oz for £10 and going there by boat it was about 6 or 7 weeks. I am talking the 1960`s and 1970`s not when we sent convicts.

  2. stay where you are you will be better off.

  3. About 60 days on the Queen Victoria cruise ship.  (But it goes in the other direction only.)

  4. Define boat.  Row boat?  Cruise ship?

  5. If your going by canoe it could take years, but the chances are you would drown......

If you went by motor boat you would be a lot quicker but the chances are you would run out of fuel.....If you went by a yacht it would take you as long as it would take you, given the circumstances. If I was you I would fly, then they could tell you exactly how long it would take. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I really not know. Depends a lot on the boat (Sail/Power) and ocean currents and wind. I figure 5 knots an hour. Most private boats cruise around 8-10 knots per hour. So, if we can find the distance then we divide by 5 and this give an estimate of total hours. Then figure if you go 24/7 or 8-10 hours a day. Usually in the open ocean a boat can go 24/7 with a 24 hour watch/lookout.

The red line in the picture would be the best route I guess.

  7. depends on how fast you can row your boat.
