  1. if u want 2 run fast u shuld wake up every morning and run a few miles. also, 4 the mile, wen u want 2 stop and r tired think that if u keep running and dont give up, u will get it over w/ faster and have a better time. If u pace yourself, and think that u can do it, u will b able 2 run 4 an hr without stopping.

  2. I would do daily training. Try running a mile every 2-3 days. Try running it but if you get tired walk a minute or two. After 2-3 weeks (when you get use to it) start doing 2 miles. Do this until basketball starts.

  3. Try running at slower pace at about 20 min .... and every week increase the speed and your running time by 6 or 8 min until you get to an hour.

The key is not to stop! Even if your jogging at a fast pace walking speed never give in! Mental determination will pull you through. Never stop!

  4. Try flipping off a cop on foot and see if you speed increases

  5. i thought basketball players need to sprint down the court not jog at mile pace, doing this'll help your endurance but your sprinting speed can be improved by weight lifting, doing maybe 25m-50m repeat sprints for the court distance

  6. you know that's pretty slow a 12 minute mile you don't say how old you are and your body mass for the average person in your situation that you are already physically active should be able to make improvements right away.  Just start adding distance each day.  But you need to also pick up your paste so you can get a 8 min mile

  7. I would consider running more when you do run.  If you can I would double it.

  8. it takes about 6 weeks of running to get in great running shape. start out by running at least 2 miles a day and increase each time.

  9. it took me like a month to get back in to TOP SHAPE

but i did a lot of training everyyday <_<

  10. try running for 3 days a week. 20-30 minutes a day.

i run track and my track coach told me that to help me out.

it'll increase your leg muscles so you'll be able to run faster in a shorter amount of time and be able to run longer.
