How long would it take to post a letter from brisbane to perth ?

Just wondering because i live in perth and someone has recently posted a letter 2 me and they live just outside of brisbane ? Roughly how many days would it take 2 reach me ? Would it take longer because it was posted on saturday rather than a weekday ? Answers would b greatly appreciated thankyou :)

Its very hit and miss these days. I've found that mail from the UK often arrives in Perth quicker than mail from non-capital city locations in Oz.

It should take about 3 to 4 business days ... i.e. Monday to Friday.  Good luck!!

This is unpredictable as I have often sent mail to Perth and Perth mail has come to me and the time varies. If it has been sent just normal mail it should only take 3 or 4 days but I have waited over a week on several occassions. what happens to slow it down I'll never know. Just hope you get yours today or tommorrow. But if you don't then that won't be normal.

The other info is about as accurate you can get, but be aware that mail posted on a Saturday won't be collected from the mailbox until sometime on Monday for Tuesday sorting. It then takes another 2 or 3 days to get from Brisbane to Perth.

If ever you need mail more quickly, get an Express Post envelope and post it in one of the special Gold Express Post mailboxes. If posted from Brisbane before 6.00pm, it will arrive in Perth (postcodes 6000-6005, 6800-6899) the next business day.
