How long would it take to pour concrete for a 50m * 20m * 0.3m reinforced slab?

The slab is for a factory and a concrete pump can be used if necessary. Also how many cement trucks loads would be required? and what would be the optimum number of people working spreading, compacting and leveling the concrete? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

  1. the concreting will take one full day means 24 hours, but the pouring machine's setting will done in previous day with good attention.

  2. You got about 300 cubic metres of concrete to pour .

you will definitely need a fairly big pump truck with about a 70 metre push

When you order concrete you need to be telling the company that you are going to be pumping it (they will put 16mm gravel in the mix so it doesn't block up so much and they will give it a 80 slump,(wet))

The 8 wheelers can carry 7 cubes, the 6 wheelers 5 cubes.

So you will need 42 truck loads (8 wheelers)

                             60 truck loads (6 wheelers)

    2 shovelling , 2 screeding , 2 compacting

You also need to say to readimix or whoever you use how much you will be wanting each day . Just say i'll have say 30 cubes with a plus this enables you to be able to instantly get another say 3 cubes quickly.

You are going to have to keep the trucks coming up each others bum so to speak cos you don't want any "cold" joints

I would say you will be pouring over 5 days.

Make sure your expansion joints are adhered to the previous pad before pouring and i even reckon on making each pour only 30 cubes at a time or else the concrete will crack up over time, this does increase your pour time tho

Hire a helicopter from a hire place

Get a couple of bull floats , and 2 mag floats

I recommend you get hold of a rep from the concrete company to help you out too cos this is worth their while to accommodate you, they may even be able to put you in touch with a good grano outfit cos you'll need teamwork to pull this off. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

  3. Ella has got just about all of it.

    One thing:

It will help a lot if you can arrange truck access to all of both sides

    of that 20M. width.
