  1. There are many variables that Will effect your speed and time such as surface , size of horse (s) heat and weather related issues.

    For example, if you have good driving weather with low humidity and a good pair of harness trotters and a combination of walking and trotting, I estimate 6 - 8 hours realistically to travel 36 miles or 30 kms.  I do not suggest this over a paved surface though. If you are driving on normal blacktop roads, it is feasible to expect the trip to take considerably longer as I DO NOT advocate hard driving on paved surfaces.

    I suggest you consider trailering the carriage and horse(s) closer to the wedding site for every ones best interest.

    Nothing like the bride arriving hot, sweaty and covered in road dirt! Not a pretty picture....

    6.4 km per hour.  (About 4 mph.)

    The speed of a regular working trot is averages 8 to 12 km/h (5 to 10 mph),
