  1. hi!!usually the eurostar is the best solution... the eurostar (the faster train in italy) star from milano centrale and arrive to florence in 4hour!!

  2. About 2 or 3 hours by train, depending whether or not you take express or regular. Trains are frequent.

  3. It takes between 2.40 hours to 5 hours for the southern part of Tuscany. I would suggest trains, since buses might incur into highway traffic near Bologna, which could make your trip very, very slow.

  4. Trains from Milan to Florence leave every 15 mins more or less and take about 3 h and a half to get to Florence... then, from Florence main station, Santa Maria Novella, you can easily find trains to Siena, Pisa, Lucca, and other cities, by the seaside for example... these trains are local trains and they take a little bit more to get to their destinations, because they stop frequently in small places, worth visiting tho!

As for busses, i dont recommend them... too slow, likely to find traffic jams, and really uncomfortable..

Trains are the best way to travel through Italy.

  5. Where in Tuscany?

You can check out the times on the TrenItalia website: http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/ferrovi...
