I asked this question with 11, then I mapquested the directions, and it was only 4.49 miles...so, how long would it take to walk 4 1/2 miles. How about jogging halfway, then walking the rest?

  1. people who jog are capable of 8 minute miles.  People who walk briskly, can do a mile in 15 minutes.  You question of mixing the two could be any variable.

If you walk it, anticipate one hour and 8 minutes.  If you jog it, expect 36 minutes or more.

Halfway jogging would place you at ~ 18 minutes and 2.25 miles and then an additional 36 minutes more to complete the walk.

  2. it depends

if you are running walking or jogging

  3. About an hour

  4. Walking can take a loooong time, especially if you're clumsy. You should consider that other people out there may try to trip you- or even push you down to the concrete.

And when you do fall, you have to consider recovery time. If you land the wrong way, you could be in pain for a long time....and if you break an arm or leg, an ambulance might come take you away and prevent you from reaching your destination.

  5. A good walking pace is 4 miles per hour though most people are a bit slower and do around 3 miles per. At 4 miles per hour you're looking at an hour and about 8 minutes. At 3 miles per it would be 1.5 hours.

  6. less than an hour if you walk at a quick pace

  7. depends on how fast you walk but walking the whole way probably 2 hours maybe an hour and a half.

  8. Most can walk 3 miles an hour easily (includes one 10 min break), so 1.5 hours; less if you jog part of the way....

  9. Take the average speed you walk and divide it into 4.5 miles.

  10. 12-15 min to go 1 mile. you do the math
