How long would it take you to do a sink full of dishes by hand?

It used to take me 2 hrs. when I was younger b/c they used to have over 8 people in the house. Now, since it's just me-it takes about 3 min.

I would guess 15 minutes to wash and rinse.  If you are going to towel dry them, add about another 15 mintues

depends on how distracted you are, that's my problem

I put on some music to keep me entertained.  I fill the sink with hot soapy water, put on my rubber gloves, arrange all the dishes in groups (cups in one stack, plates in another stack etc)  Wash a whole group, and then when the sink is full with washed dishes, I rinse them all at the same time.  Then I put them in the rack to air dry.  It goes really fast I'd say a sink full of dishes might take me 10-20 minutes.  My system seems better than washing, rinsing then hand drying each individual dish one at a time, now that'd take you a lot longer!

no soaking time included for heavily skuzzy dishes.

i air dry i don't hand dry my dishes.

BY HAND !!!!!!!!! What a Barbaric method of torture !! I hope you're just kidding, because you could get hurt or seriously injured attempting such a dangerous feat. Please tell me you aren't suicidal...Just in case, here's the prevention hot-line number [phone]  :)
