Question:

How long would it take you to get bored out of your mind lying down and relaxing on a beautiful beach?

Since Heaven would be just like that according to Christianity, because like Christians say, there's nothing but rest, peace, and tranquility for all eternity, I'd like you to imagine how long it would take you relaxing at the beach until you got fed up from the boredom and finally left and went to do something fun. How long would that take you until you did that from being at the beach under constant serenity? It took me less than 20 minutes the last time I lied down and relaxed at a nice calm beach.

But the really scary thought is, is that Heaven which will be just as nice and relaxing and tranquil, but unlike the beach, it will be for eternity and there will be no escaping the constant peace, you won't get to drive away in your car and go do something fun, you're trapped in a place where God bans you of all the fun and active things you enjoy doing right now invented by human creativety..

  1. Pretty fast, esp. if theres no easy chicks in bikinis around that I can go play with. I guess they'd be in h**l though :(

  2. i cant STAND the beach....too sunny....shinny sun all day bums me out....i prefer rainy days....

  3. Do I get a Linux laptop and a broadband internet connection?  I shall cope.

  4. About 10 minutes.

Less if I hadn't been for a crafty d00b in the sand dunes!

  5. I am a Christian and the afterlife that you describe is simply  not my understanding of what our eternal relationship with God is or will be.

  6. The Christian Heaven is FAR MORE than the narrow way you have just attempted to describe it as.

We will spend eternity LEARNING of the Infinite Love and Knowledge of GOD. ... we will enjoy His Presence AND HIS CREATION forever. There will be UNENDING joy, peace, and Love.

  7. Unless ive got a good book, i would be bored out of my brians in about half an hour

  8. Sure you can use your creativity. When you get tired of singing hymns, you can all get together and make things out of egg cartons.

  9. I don't recall a creativity ban being mentioned. Can you cite that one for us? As for the beach, I could easily do that. I've done it all day before, and wish to do so again. In my home town, I go fishing at a large lake and love the peace and tranquility it provides. I honestly don't care if I bring anything home, as long as it is a relaxing trip, which is a good thing with my fishing skills.

  10. No. Not according to Christianity.

    :)

  11. Boy, the beach is sure h**l.

Just FYI, the new earth will be where we end up, and will not be a beach.

The Bible says nothing about no creativity.

  12. Well if it is a surf beach you wouldn't be relaxing all of the time.  You would be kept busy catching waves and different challenges every day and as long as you have your sun tan lotion no harm will come to you and you would have the odd adrenalin rush what with the White Pointers and rips in the Ocean.  It could be fun.  You could rollerblade along the boulevarde and relax and chat at the bars and you could go fishing when you are sick of surfing and make sandcastles in the sky.

  13. How long you might ask? I don't think heaven exists within a realm of space and time. It is the only plausible way God could have created the universe is if He were outside time and space. I guess in that sense eternity on a beach could feel like a second and in that case I wouldn't mind spending a day on the beach.

  14. The first fifteen years would be okay but after that I'd need to do something different.

  15. I have to take a h**l lot of things with me, to a beach, if i plan to stay four or five hours.

    Eternity??

    I´d rather go to h**l

  16. 5 to 15 minutes  relaxing at beach is OK

if youre asking me  if I can find peace and relax eternally at this place called heaven, NO.

I'd rather go and spend my eternity in this place called h**l.

  17. With seven needy children how would I know? People do such things? LOL A nap would be Heavenly to me.

  18. Heaven is not like that. There will be work to do, gardens to attend and the like. We are not told all the details but it will certainly not be all relaxing and doing nothing.

    God is not like that.

I see that we may be able to actually go wild with our creativity, love begets, meaning love brings into existence, so I think we will be doing all sorts of stuff.
