How long would this deposit take to clear?

I have some cash to put into my bank account and I'm going to put it in through those machines that you put the notes and your card in and it puts it into your account. Would it clear into my account instantly or would I have to wait like you do with a cheque?

It all depends on the bank.  Rather its in 24 hours or normally next business day or end of closing day!

It completely depends on the individual bank. Some banks credit deposits instantly, others make you wait until the end of the next business day.
