It is usuallly 1 hour for each month of age, plus 1 hour, so a 3-month-old puppy could only hold it's potty for 4 hours at the most.  The bladder is grown around 6-months-old, and they are usually fully potty trained at 1-year-old.  They will usually stop having accidents around 12-weeks-old, but don't let your guard down that early.  It sounds like you are doing a great job, just hang in there a little longer.

Only crate him for a couple of hours.  His bladder isn't fully developed until he's 6 months old so he can't hold it very long.  Crate training is a wonderful tool when used properly.  Like the person above said, NEVER use it as a punishment and it will give your dog a safe place to relax.

My dog was crated for 3 years. Crating your dog lets him know and establish his boundaries. Crating is NOT meant to be any form of punshisment but a place where your dog can call his own space. My dog never p'd in his crate and eventually learned that his crate was his "bed" and his own personal space.

You can crate your dog for as long as he can hold his urine. I would not recommend crating him for more than 6 hours but make sure your dog is crate trained. If he's never been crated, then hire a pet sitter or pet walker.

in a CRATE? you would be prosecuted if you kept a dog like that here

all dogs need freedom and exercise, especially big energetic dogs

to have a dog and keep it in a crate is cruel and selfish

i dont own a dog because it wouldnt be fair, in the house all day on its own, but even if i did have one i wouldnt imprison it like that
