I was in McDonald's recently. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries, was told it would be a few minutes. So I wait. Meanwhile another 3 customers order and get served. I'm growing bored and am told my food is being cooked or assembled or whatever. By now it has been 8 minutes so I demanded my money back.

  1. Fast food shoild be fast! But its not..i queued in Gatwick MacDonalds for 45 minutes while the person serving was the slowest ever........i only just caught the plane!!!!! so it should be quick!!!!!

  2. fair ehough but then you had to go somewhere else order and wait.....

  3. I might have waited 5-10 minutes unless I was in a hurry. There is no way you should have had to wait that long as they are on the Dollar Menu and should be quick and easy to make fast. They didn't have to kill the cow 1st right?

  4. 5 - 10 mins max, I'd do the same thing as you and leave if it takes longer than that.

  5. That's the whole idea of "fast" food. Just shows they don't really value their customers. You should have demanded your money back and maybe try and get your meal free...I would have! But you did the right thing.

  6. i woudnt wait for a cheese burger if im with my friends, cuz i would be chilin' with them while waiting, but if im in a hurry..i would wait for like 8-10 mins then ask for my muney back. = )

  7. You did the right thing.

Its meant ot be 'fast' food and in this case it wasnt, you shouldnt have to wait more than a few minutes in my oppinion.

  8. well saying the word fast is in fast food like mayb 10 to 15 minutes

  9. The whole meaning to Fast Food is that it has to be fast! I don't wait that long for my food maybe only a couple minutes. I never really have to wait that long.

  10. What a ripoff. I don't blame you for getting your money back. Fast food is what the title is, fast food. You get your food fast. Eight minutes is a really long time.

  11. 12 hours, but not a second more

  12. Good question.....it's called fast food for a reason!

  13. You have got to realize that the people that work at McDonald's and other fast food places are not robots. Things happen, food runs out, machines stop working, etc. I would have said differently if you hadn't mentioned that other people that were behind you were served rather quickly than you were.. now that's their fault.

  14. 3 minutes. Tops.

  15. 10 Minutes max.... it's called fast for a reason.  McDonalds are slower at the moment because all the student staff have gone home for the holidays so they are having to employ new people who have to learn from scratch.
