How longdo I have to return a product I'm not happy with?

I recently purchased a home theater system from ABC Warehouse. It's been just over a week, and I'm not happy with it. It sounds ok, but I bought it because it had HDMI inputs, and after messing with it, I realized it's only HDMI pass-through, so it doesn't accept audio signals. Can I still return it to the store for my money back, or I might even want to exchange it. It's been 9 days.

  1. It will be printed in terms on your receipt

  2. different stores have different return policies, for example every wal-mart receipt has the policy on the back in writing over and over again.  Check through any paper work and then check the receipt and see if theres any fine print on it, and be honest when u take it back, they should understand.

  3. With a receipt it should be no problem, without a receipt they can check the manufacture date and exchange it.

  4. It depends on their store policy. Check it out ASAP.

  5. YOU BOUGHT IT, YOU OWN IT! You have no legal RIGHT to return it because you don't like it, whether for an exchange or money back, at the very least in the USA, unless a right of return is part of the purchase contract.

It is entirely up to the store. YOU must ask. You have had it for a long time, but most merchants are interested (at least somewhat) in goodwill. No one here can tell you!!! Anyone else who tells you anything different doesn't know what he/she is talking about.
