How loud can your stereo be before getting defected?

how loud can your car stereo be before getting in trouble from the cops. i have a 3200watt hifonics sub and a 1600 watt hifonics amp.

by me it if they can hear it 75 feet away....lol....you can hear any stereo 75' away.

Noise ordinances are usually set locally, so there's no way anyone can answer your question without knowing exactly where you're going to be using your system.  Call your local police department to find out what laws apply in your area.

Alternately, you can just be considerate of other people.  The people around you don't want to hear your bass.  If you're driving through a neighborhood, keep it turned down.  You shouldn't need the threat of a noise ticket to make you act responsibly.

just tell the cop that mowing the yard is loud enough to damage your hearing so why don't you go hand out tickets to them too or the bikes that ride around that are sooooo ******* loud ya know they don't get tickets why should i ya know i do know it isn't much
