How low do airline tickets get from the US to Panama or Nicaragua?

I'm wondering what I should aim for when shopping around. This would be for an open ticket or a changeable ticket good for about 2 - 6 months.

Depends on the season and what part of the US you are traveling from. Check daily because ticket prices change a lot. Copa, American, Delta, and Taca all offer flights to Panama.

Copa for example allows what you are asking about flexible tickets. For about $100 more (depends) it allows you to change the ticket as many times as you wish, which is very convenient if you are not sure about your dates.

Tickets range between $400 -850.

it really depends around what days you are looking to get there, i am trying to fly during dec16 and jan 13 and right now the prices are 1k flying copa...so i dont think they will get any lower then $600
