  1. You have to make four lesson plans for what age group?

    First you have to an objective in mind.. you usually get this from the standards or just something that students need to know.. For example:

    Objective: Learn about rectangles

    Then you have smaller goals that you can check for progress.

    Goal: Students should be able to draw a rectangle

    Students know the definition of a rectangle

    Students will be able to distinguish rectangles from other shapes

    Also there is prior knowledge: This is where you state what students should already know before the lesson ex: Prior knowledge: Students should already be able to describe straight line versus curved lines.

    then Usually if you have students with special needs... either advanced or slower or english is not the main language, etc... you would say how you modify the lesson for them:

    Special Cases: Students who read at a lower level will be able to point to the rectangles and desribe it verbally.

    then you write your lesson in how you will present it to the students:

    You can have an anticipatory set: (Like first five minutes) Have students draw various shapes...

    (Lesson: teacher will point to a rectangle and have students point out some characteristics of the shape.  She will do this to several rectangles.  Teacher will then show a shape that is not a rectangle... She will ask the students what is different... Will be put this in the same category. Etc...)

    The lesson part depends on your style of teaching and how your students react.

    At the end you put how you are going to assess the students:

    There are two ways usuallly: Formative- which is casual... You can say that you will have students work on worksheet of rectanlges and walk around seeing how they are doing, or ask the students questiosn..

    Summative assessment: This is a test on thw material- you will say that you will have a test at the end of thw eek fo all the shapes.

    Then a reflection: Which comes after the lesson is taught- things that went well, things that didn't work, and how you might adjust it for future lessons.

    Oh and you should put a list of materials needed for each lesson either at the end or beginning..
